CIPP achieves Living Wage accreditation

Everyone who works for the organisation, regardless of whether they are direct employees or third-party contracted staff, will now receive a minimum hourly wage of £8.75 in the UK or £10.20 in London. These rates are not to be confused with the statutory National Living Wage for over 25s, which currently stands at £7.50 per hour.

The Living Wage Foundation campaigns for businesses to pay its voluntary rate, calculated independently based on the cost of living.

Ken Pullar, CEO of the CIPP, commented: “As the industry body for payroll in the UK, the CIPP encourages all of our members to pay the ‘real’ Living Wage and therefore wanted to demonstrate that we are equally committed to ensuring all of our employees are paid fairly.”
