Shard Financial Media, owner of Reward Strategy, has added the Incentive Awards to its roster of industry events.
The awards celebrate excellence across the Incentive, Reward and Recognition industry.
Wendy Carter, who founded the awards in 2015, announced last night at the annual ceremony in Westminster that the move “would not only future-proof the event, but enable it to grow in a way I always hoped.”
The Incentive Awards recognise and reward the best employee programmes, technology and people who showcase exceptional execution, creativity and innovation.
With sixteen categories to choose from, the awards give companies a chance to toast inspiring achievements while providing a great networking opportunity.
She said the partnership with the Incentive Marketing Association (IMA) will continue to be the heart of the awards.
The acquisition is another string to Shard’s already impressive portfolio. The company currently host 15 awards as well as publishing Reward Strategy and its sister publication Credit Strategy, as well as TRI Strategy and FSE Media along with producing landmark conferences, like the upcoming Vulnerability Summit and the Reward & Payroll Summit, both taking place in November.
Shard Financial Media’s CEO Luke Broadhurst paid tribute to Wendy at the awards for how far the event has come in the five years it has been running.
“Tomorrow we’ll be the proud custodians of what quite clearly to us is a fantastic industry and a fantastic awards event, so thank you and welcome to all of you guys.
"As a business, Reward Strategy... it’s a magazine, it’s a website, we have two or three different conferences, two award programmes already, but we also run about 15 or 16 award programmes and award dinners like this, and they all have an atmosphere, and when you come into a room you can feel it, you can hear it.
"There’s an energy here. It feels like it’s full of entrepreneurs and innovation. And that’s why we wanted to get involved.
“We hope we can take this award to the next level. Wendy’s done an incredible job to this point and we hope to be able to build on her legacy and we hope to take it further for her, let’s watch this space.”
