The winners of The Rewards 2019, which took place at the Hilton London Bankside last night (December 5), have been revealed.
This year marked nine years of the awards programme and 2019 was a record-breaking year for The Rewards, with the most entries ever received - 200 nominations from 100 individual companies.
There were a total of 26 categories including seven new categories, that were created in collaboration with Reward Strategy’s Editorial Advisory Board, to reflect the ongoing duties of the reward profession.
The new awards included: Best Reward Strategy, Diversity & Inclusion Award, Wellbeing Provision Award, Innovation Award, “Ready to Retire” Award, Next Generation Award and Best Rebrand.
The host for the evening, comedian, musician and improviser Rachel Parris supplied more than enough entertainment for guests. Parris is currently on telly screens in BBC2’s The Mash Report and is known for her appearances on the likes of the IT Crowd and Murder In Successville. She has also won critical acclaim for her solo comedy shows which have run at the Edinburgh Fringe and the Soho Theatre London.
During the evening, guests raised £7,700 for the Shooting Star Children’s Hospices which cares for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions and their families. This is the most money that has ever been raised for a charity at The Rewards.
The evening was sponsored by Cintra HR & Payroll Services, Western Union, FMP Global and The Payroll Centre.
Once again, the awards night followed the Autumn Update Conference held during the day at the same venue. The conference was sponsored by Ceridian, Cintra HR & Payroll Services, EQ Global, Immedis, SD Worx, Western Union, The Payroll Centre, the CIPP and Chronomics.
